Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

bsanford, Oh the kid in the box day is one of the hard ones!  There are plenty of those but somehow the tide turns and you start receiving letters and get a magical call or two and the BC time ticks away.  The best part is seeing your SR grow in strength and confidence before your eyes (via letter at least)!  And who would have ever dreamed that in this day of email, texting and computer updates, we would have lots of handwritten letters from our kids?  Treasures to be sure...

My kid in the box came today.  I cried.  I didn't think it had come because I was expecting it to come via the US Mail and when I checked the mail there was no box there.  But then I thought maybe it came and was sitting outside my front door so I checked and there it was.  I cried when opening it and it had the clothes he was wearing and his cell phone in it.  Now I just want to get that letter with his address.

Anyone going to SanAntonio from the north 45 area of Houston? I would like to go but need to get back and I don't really want to drive alone.
