Brenda Sue - the restaurant sounds fine.  I will talk to RDML Valentin's PAO about it.  Would this be for the 26th?

Glad to have you back Lynn!  Sorry that you have had such a rough year but hopefully things are getting better.  You have your son's visit to look forward to so you will be fininshing off the year with something good.  What base is your WA son at?  Mine is at Whidbey.

I talked to BJ's on the Rim.  They did say that they had a room (that was free) that was pretty isolated from the rest of the restaurant.  Would some of you interested look at the menu and see if this is ok?  I know San Antonio is known for it's Mexican (Tex-Mex) food - but Texas is known for it's bar-b-que - and this seems like a more variety of food.  http://www.bjsrestaurants.com/menu

Lt. Tom, if you read this - this restaurant is about 25 - 30 minutes from downtown San Antonio.  Is that a good location for y'all?

Brenda Sue count me in.  I am coming back from a business trip on the 26 and will be in San Antonio so that would be great, but I can do either night.

Not sure what kind of food you might be looking for, but BJ's on I-10 at the Rim has a wide selection, is reasonably priced and also has a private room.  Just a thought.  Let me know if I can help in any way.  I'm in Fredericksburg, just an hour away.

I would love to be there.  My son will PIR on 10/21 so I may very well be the newest Navy Mom there!  We love La Fogata, a really good Mexican restaurant but it is not on the Riverwalk.

HOWDY!!!  Calling ALL Texas Moms!!!  Lt. Tom called today!  An Admiral wants to have dinner with some Navy Moms!  Anyone interested???  Come one and Come ALL!!!

We can choose between Wednesday, October 26 or Thursday, October 27.  Either is OK by me.  Which evening works best for most of you?  I have to let him know by this Thursday - so reply and pass the word!

Also, any mom in the San Antonio area that can recommend a restaurant to meet at?  If so, be my "friend" and I'll call you with the details.

Thanks!
