OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The discussion regarding Canton is listed above in the "discussions" we are meeting at the eating area called the Arbors. Wear your "Navy" shirts! I have invited the Blue Star Moms and other Texas Military Moms to attend as well, so if you see someone with a "Marines", Air Force", Coast Guard", Army" shirt on, make sure and tell them Hello!!!! We are all in this together!

Also: Please remember all the Gold Star Families around the nation today on National Gold Star Mothers Day. Pray for peace and thank them for their service.

Blue Star Mothers-Lone Star Chapter 6- DFW,Tx is on Facebook! Just spoke with Charla this morning and she gave me permission to post this event on their page!  I am very excited to join this group as they are organized for packing parties, blood drives, support, etc. for all of our kids/spouses!  Their website is:  http://dfwbluestarmoms.org/ if you don't do Facebook, this is where you will get most of the information!  So excited to meet them.  I have invited them to join us in Canton, so if you see someone in a different Military shirt... Say HOWDY and WELCOME!  Let's rally our support for all our TEXANS that are serving!
