OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Well darn! Just accepted two new friends, but now all the information has gone *poof*... if you just sent me a friend request, I accepted but your information went bye-bye so I can't do the Facebook link-up. I promise to write your information down before I accept your friend requests from now on! I didn't realize I couldn't capture that message again!

Hi all!  I am a  new member of Navy Moms even though my son has been serving for around 7 years.  I am now retired from teaching and now help pick up grandchildren from school.  Our son serves from San Diego and is deployed right now. We live in Garland and both of our "kids" graduated from South Garland High School. This Kyle's third deployment and he seems to enjoy the challenge! I hope everyone enjoys the Labor Day week-end!
