tygerh, a storm can mean LOTS of things (from Katrina and Rita in 2005) to just some nice rain.  Here on the coast we watch them all because they can change from a "storm" to a full fledge hurricane in days.  We have slept through a category 1 and we leave for a category 2 or higher!

Here is southeast Texas was have had lots of rain the past few days.  I am so glad for it.  We were one of the first counties in Texas to lift the "no-burn" ban.  Did y'all know in Texas out of 264 counties 256 had no burn bans?

Brenda Sue it will take about 30 minutes from the Market Basket at 105 to the church.  Kathy hope that you get to come.  I am a Cathy also.  Brenda Sue is right you do not need to know how to sew to help with this project.

Did someone stay storm?  What exactly does that consist of?  I forgot.  I'm in Lubbock and I can't even remember when we last had rain.  At this point, I would love it if it rained for three days straight.

Lisa - I agree totally! Htown is in the same condition, very sad!

Alysia, at this point I really hope that the storm does come this way - don't know how bad it's been in Houston, but Georgetown (Austin) is beyond parched, and DFW just set a record today for the highest low temp on record.

Kathy!!  YEA!!!!  I promise that you don't need to know how to sew to help.  Donna comes from your area (League City, I think).  You might want to get with her and drive together.  She has come and stayed with me the night before - you are welcome to also!  I only have one extra bed - but I do have a fairly decent air mattress if you both want to come and stay.

Thanks for the awesome words of wisdom Eaglemom!!

Prayers for the USS Boxer and all their shipmates. Here's to a fast and safe find of the missing sailor!

Well it looks like we may have a storm move into the Gulf....Htown may need to be on alert.

Eaglemom - don't they have taxi's up there?  :)

Maybe one day!

Matt's mom, see you Friday around 10!!  How far from Parkdale is it?  The Dayton mom is meeting me at the Market Basket there and I want to make sure we are not late.
