He also liked the food but he is my "garbage disposal"...he"ll eat almost anything! Except for whipped cream! Go figure!

My son also had his wisdom teeth pulled but he said it was no big deal. He says that about everything though! He also went to San Antonio and I don't think they took out anything for food. Did it say that on his "mypay" ? I know they deduct for uniforms and such...

When I sent my first letter to my son...his sisters wrote him letters and one of them thought it woud be funny to send him a wrapped up green bean from dinner. She told him ..."Here I saved you a green bean"...she is so goofy! lol

Yea for letters. I was just on the Tiger cruise and I got green beans and the 1st day they were great so I thought they were safe to get again, WRONG, they were nasty the next meal. All you have to do is open a can, how did they mess that up?

? You son so had his wisdom teeth taken out. He thought book camp food was great. Maybe they hv new cooks. He is now in San Antonio and the food is not good at all and they deduct like $200 a month for it. They don't get paid much as it is I thought there was no charge for food is they are on base. Any know if this is the case?

Brenda 72 &Peyt's Mom Let your sailors know that the food only gets worse. Thats according to my son who just came in from a 6mo. deployment, He was like "Mom how can you mess up mashed potatoes & Mac & cheese?"

My sailor did not get his wisdom teeth out in boot camp. They overlooked im some how so they had to remove them while he was deployed. They also broke his jaw to realine his  jaw. CRAZY!! He got 3 days off & 2 days light duty & hten it was back to work for him. They did give hin a few pain pills to help,

The teeth thing - they take out all the wisdom teeth at basic and they do all the dental work that they can because they cannot afford a dental emergency when they are underway.  Large numbers of cavities are actually cause for separation.  I know of one young man that was held back after PIR to finish up his dental work.

I don't know if he said anything about how that was....he has never had anything with teeth before...no cavities or anything so I bet it was a bit traumatic
Comment by Peyt's Mom on July 21, 2011 at 5:22pm
I know it is just great to hear from him. Well we were told that they would do the wisdom teeth...did he do OK with that, that can be involved sometimes? Pets wisdom teeth are def not growing in correctly so I'm sure that will be on the agenda for him as well.
Comment by Brenda72 on July 21, 2011 at 5:17pm

Oh I remember now...they took out his wisdom teeth.....I thought that was strange...lol
