Ccole... have her encourage him in her letters to get the job done. Exercise, pay attention, don't goof around and get into trouble. Tell her not to write how much she misses him, or how she wishes he was with her... that really can screw them up and get them off-track. The RDC's will pick up on any homesickness or worry and can use it against them by assigning extra personal training (PT). If she (and you if you are also writing him) send him jokes that he can share, world news, puzzles, photos of his dog/cat/pet (print onto the paper). Keep the envelopes white... pink envelopes have to be opened in front of EVERYBODY. Musical cards are a No-no, they will extra PT. No food! No gum! Remember also that they have to throw the letters away unless you want to mail him a large SASE about week 5, and then he can mail anything he wants to keep back home.  Every letter or every other letter enclose a SASE, it will save them time and all they have to do is write a note and pop it in the mail! Enjoy the journey, this is really the easy part even though it doesn't seem like it. Blessings.

have her write him every day or you write him every day.

pray for him every day and read your Bible or devotional book every day and go to church every sunday and wednesday and put his name on the prayer list

my son's name has been on our prayer list for about three years now and another church has his name on their  prayer list too which I do not attend but a co-worker of my husband goes that church

pray for the Navy officers etc.

and the secretary of the Navy

and to stay on this website of Navy for Moms.

 Hope this helps.
