FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

it is run by the defense department

they take military service and work with the service members with their education and help them become teachers

in Texas alot of the jobs are in the Houston area or in Del Rio in west texas real close to the Air Force Base there.

I work in Whitesettlement and we have two wonderful excellent Troops to Teachers Teachers they are both Army women and one teaches Spanish and the other teaches high level math and they are very patient teaches.

especially the math teacher she is very good at her job due to being in the Army

Bn4givn. Same with my son-- he is sub and had to have foot surgery so he is doing some admin asst there while doing pt on his foot. He needs to get back in A school that chid would spend money he doesn't have!! Where did he learn that???? :)Navybluemom11 WE ARE STRONG ARENT WE?

just be aware that the military  is cutting back so have your sailors look into Troops to Teachers program.

Well, they cancelled the swim test, it has been postponed indefinitely..now they are all in limbo, just waiting to get all the certifications they need so they can do the job they were sent there to do. My sailor is getting bored, doesn't do well with inactivity!! Tends to spend more money that way,too. Already looking for a vehicle so he can get around...

Care package to my son today he seems better. My nephew joined the Navy he is sooooo excited I'm going to his PIR with my sister
