Thanks Brenda.  I read about the shopping in Old Town Spring.  I live literally 5 minutes from there so I will definately join the shopping trip this year.  My daughter will be an Aviation Mechanic.  This website has been awesome and has really helped me understand what she is going through.  Without this I think I would go crazy with all my questions and not knowing anything.

Welcome, Tay's mom!  Glad you are here!  We have several moms from Spring - in fact, we've done a yearly shopping trip there every year around Christmas.

Want to come sew?  What is your daughter going to do in the Navy?

Just joined Texas Moms and I live in Spring.  That is just North of Houston, or some say The Woodlands area.  My daughter is a new recruit.  She arrived in GL on 6/28 and she is in Ship 07 Div 270 and her PIR date is 8/26.  Excited and scared for her.  Just got her box and form letter, which just makes me anxious for more contact.  At least now I have an address to mail all the letters I have written since she left.  LOL

Hey Quilt - you are more than welcome to come to Austin and pack my daughter's house.....I am so tired of doing it - she moves every single summer....happily, she graduated so we shouldn't have to do this much more.  Of course, NOW we have to move her all the way to Washington DC.........

Brenda I am waiting to hear back from Leann on using the same place we had last time. What do you think 10:00am like last time?

Eagle Mom - sounds like we will have another one some time in September for YOU!

Matt's Mom, as far as I know right now - I will be there with a couple of sewing machines and a serger.  I promise folks, you DON'T have to know how to use a machine to be of some use here - there are LOTS of things that need done that does not include sewing!  What time?
