TGF ~ itz RED Friday ~ our Sailor is leaving today to move on to his next duty station; kinda sad but elated for new chapters.

R is driving by himself to Tinker....will be worried until he arrives; I'm a Mom :(

We alos flew Southwest to PIR and stayed at the Navy Lodge; both were great!

AlexH - try Southwest out of Hobby into Midway.  I LOVE Southwest (no charge for luggage).  Also, the Navy Lodge is pretty cheap - but there are several reasonable hotels around.  You will want to take the shuttle to and from PIR (even if you have a rental car) - it is MUCH EASIER and FASTER!!!

Any one traveling from Houston to GL for the Aug 5th PIR? One option is to drive, but the trip will take at least 20 hours each way. Any one find good airfare or hotel rates?
