We drove to PIR also.  We left Wednesday afternoon and stopped for the night (actually only about 4 hours) then arrived in Gurnee Thursday evening.  We planned on leaving Sunday morning to come home but ended up staying with our son until his Liberty ended (couldn't stand to leave him before we had to) then had to drive straight through to make it back to work.  It was a fast trip but wouldn't have missed PIR for anything.

I just posted this message in the discussion group above for the North DFW Group:  Would anyone like to get together on Saturday, May 28th? I will send out an email to those I have "friendships" with. Do you want to meet for breakfast, lunch, coffee/tea time or even dinner?  Please post some ideas here on "what you would like to do", we could even meet at a mall or shopping center. I'll send out N4M messages in the next few days, so "friend me, so I can contact you"!   Thanks!

Yes, dream... we drove and had a great time visiting with friends on the way up north and family and friends on the way back. We bought a brand new car to drive up (it was time to buy anyway, I was just able to talk my husband into getting it a couple of months earlier than he wanted) and surprised our son! Phone calls all came to the house and I rarely went anywhere during all of BC, because I didn't want to miss a single phone call, and I didn't! We got five! The 2nd and 3rd was because he didn't have the correct numbers for his automatic deposit of his paycheck into his checking account with him and when I gave him the numbers during the 2nd call, he transposed something and had to call back two days later! It's been really nice with him in GC, he calls me on the phone or Skype!

Hello from Arlington, TX - I missed my son's first phone call yesterday and i am so dissappointed.  I was on my office phone when he called my cell.  I did not hear it ring because it was in my purse.  He did leave a message for me which is great because he told me he loves me and so now i can keep this saved message until he comes home on leave.   He was able to reach my husband and apparently he said he will not be able to call again until 3 days before graduation which is June 17th. Does this sound right?  I wrote a to him and told him that I will have my cell phone on my desk and will place a client on hold the next time he calls.
