For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The fire started when he started the engine to the motor home - like he did every two or three weeks (to keep it in good condition).

Jenny, I doubt that the kids did ROTC together - they both are recent move in to the area. One is in the Navy and stationed in Corpus - the other moved to Rockport for a change, I think.

Comment by Brenda Sue on March 4, 2011 at 4:16pm: aw, Ladies! I'll keep you posted. I may be making a QUICK trip north - but all the way to Montana! My dad lost everything he owned in a fire. I'm hoping to go up there and help him drive his truck and pets (as long as they can get new keys) down. Dad and animals all are ok - but he has NOTHING except what he was wearing. Here is a picture of the after effects:

My son did the NJROTC program his freshmen and Sophmore year. If her son did too..then they prob do know each other. Rockport and Aransas NJROTC where together for a couple of years. I think it was just last year that Rockport branched out on their own. An I am always on FB too! LOL

My son is on his third deployment. Right now, I THINK he is off the coast of Lybia with the Enterprise strike group. (not sure though)

Jenny, yes, Kathleen lives in either Aransas or Rockport! I can let her know you are coming! I also have another friend that lives in Corpus. She is not on here but ALWAYS on FB.

Just missing my son and Proud of him at the same time. Got my first letter from him today...he didn't say much in it about how life is for him there. Just that he was good and having fun for the most part.
