OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

sorry bn4givn - Donna's son is already PIR'd and overseas! so. . . .doubt it!  We still get excited over phone calls!  It has been 16 days since I've heard from mine!  He is over in the Gulf of Aden with the Fifth fleet.

Hey, we are in Santa Fe south of Houston. My son is on the USS Ponce. He has been in for little over a year.

It seems like it has been forever since I have been on here. Tough two months. Lost my dad Dec. 28th. Lost my father-in-law last week. Head and heart reeling. We couldn't get Sam home for the fil's funeral. He was very close to him. :(  He took that in stride but was very saddened to not be able to make it.

Sam is on hold in SD waiting for his orders. In the mean time he is wking in admin. dept.

Hopefully things will get back to normal now... whatever that is.

Brenda Sue... hope your sisters feel better soon. If I didn't already have plans this week-end I would have gone with you.

Ladies have a good day.

SueS..... I am so sad. I had my SS praying for them also. Please lift my DIL up today, she is moving in, in snow and ice in Whidbey at 21 weeks.... She has no complications, but I just pray the Lord's protection over the little one during this move, she is a go getter and will be temped to just 'go ahead and lift this one little box....' Thank you and I will still pray for the little couple. Thanks for the word.

Lamarmama - it is how YOU set up the group.  I would set it up to NOT have to be approved.  Comment on it every once in a while so it hits the front page and people might see it.  Just watch for people's comments on the front page also.  Someone might start a discussion about it and you would invite them to join the group.

I used to watch EVERY new member and invite them here!  Now!!!!  Look how we've grown just on our own!

He called at 11:05  , just as I had turnged my light off! He said it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be getting off the bus but his stomach was "messing up", he has a very nervous stomach. I gues now the adventure begins...
