Thank you so much teachertoo.  I need all the positive thoughts I can get right now.  I haven't had anyone say that their child is with my son.  that is not uplifting at all.

@ Brenda - The USS Enterprise aka the Big E. It's become a habit using the nick name because of security.

@ JoAnn - I'm so close to Arlington, I'm gonna look up the link you provided. You might just see me around.

JoAnn!  Thanks for that information!  It would be great thing for some of our moms to join you!  I live too far south!

Roxicon, my son is not on the big E, but he is traveling with them for a while.  He is on the supply ship.  There is a you-tube video (a couple of them) of the USNS Artic supplying the Eisenhower with supplies the other night.  I keep up with where your son is - so I can know where mine is (about).

Comment by Brenda Sue on February 10, 2011 at 6:59pm

The Big E???  Eisenhower or Enterprise?

Pilot Mom, I have not been to my own son's homecoming.  He flies around.  The only ship homecoming I went to  - I just happened to be in Norfolk and got to go see it.

Sending a box for Valentines Day?  I don't even know where my son is right now (deployed).   So. . .  I am going to buy him a box of chocolates (only the best for my boy) and eat them ALL myself!!!
