Laina, you son is almost EXACTLY three years behind mine!  Mine's PIR was on 02-15-08.  The snow in Chicago at this time of the year is outrageous - but I'm from southeast Texas and I made it around just fine.  Don't worry and bundle up!

Just wanted to say hello to all of the other Texas Moms.. I am from a county call Wise County.  Small little town of Boyd.. Sometimes it pops up on the weather reports.  Ha Ha Ha... I am leaving next Thursday to see my son Graduate from Boot Camp on Feb. 11th.  Any other Moms from Texas going to be there?  We are also staying at the Ramada Inn, so I would love to meet up with other Texas Moms at the Meet and Greet.  GO NAVY!!!!

Hey everyone there will be a pillowcase sewing party in Silsbee on Feb. 19.  If anyone is close enough and wants to join me and Brenda Sue let us know and we will give you directions to where we are going to be sewing.

Hope everything went well at the wedding Brenda.  The post office called me at 7:30 this morning about coming in with the boxes so I was able to let them know early we wouldn't be there today.

Eagle mom, you ALWAYS have something to add - even if it is just "Blessings to everyone"!!!  I LOVE how everyone jumped in and encouraged bn4givn.  This place is GREAT!

Did you know that you can go to MEPS with him and watch his swearing in?  Hard - but might make him feel better to know his family supports him.

That girl that ran off?  The assign someone at MEPS to be in charge of the group.  That person probably got in trouble because she ran off.  That is not nice to do to someone else!  Please know before you go!  After you swear in at MEPS the second time, your body is the US Navy's property.

I am more worried about this coming round of bad weather. My daughter is supposed to have surgery on Thursday morning and it is supposed to get bad Tues evening into Wednesday!

I know we have more in store for next week, they say it's supposed to be worse, I don't want worse =(.

The sun has been out today, which is good, but I have a stupid migraine =(.

The military is a GIANT step into Adulthood, really.  It may not have anything to do with his decision, it could be something as simple as he will miss everyone.  Or that he might feel like people will forget him once he is gone.  Or he wants to rest up before he goes?
