OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Been away for a while. Tough Dec.  I was so excited about my sailor having leave for Christmas only to see him for four days of that leave as I was back and forth between home and Md. as my dad's health took a turn for the worst before Christmas. He passed away Dec. 27th... hubby had stroke symptoms Dec 28th... turned out to be meds complications... went to dad's funeral Dec 30th....SF returned to duty Jan.2 while I was in Md. seeing to dads estate issues. Very disappointing. All returning to normal now. SF finishes A-school Feb. 3. sure wish a miracle would pop up so I could go spend some time with him since he expects to be on hold a while before ops starts. Hope this finds you fine Tx. families of sailors doing well.

Sue that is great that you are helping out this couple. I wish I was closer and I would take the dog. I hope everything works out for them.

Grant Johnston (Channel 5 weather) said it was only sunny in the Western part of the DFW area/Tarrant County.  Hopefully the entire DFW area will see sun tomorrow.  :-)
