Hello All - My sister (Anna Colleen that makes the Freedom Wraps for all the soldiers) - went to the oncologist today. He told her that is was "contained" and she would only need another minor surgery to take more out!! GREAT NEWS!!
She also had a knot come up under her arm. He gave her a strong antibiotic for it and said to come back in a month!

All that said - I can go to the Habitat for Humanity get-together now!! It is a six hour drive so I need to make some plans.
1) are we still doing it???
2) anyone know where exactly it is?
3) any help???
4) what will we be doing exactly? plumbing, wiring, painting, hammering, hauling?????

I wanted to know more about this bill for postage, so I went to http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-707 as I was curious about who pays for this. It's HR 707 and the whole text of the bill is on that site--not a long bill to read. It's actually for one voucher per month that has to be transferred from the soldier/sailor to another person good for one first class letter of no more than 13 oz. or parcel post package no more than 15 pounds. The money comes out of the Secretary of Defense's budget. That sort of concerns me--what program is he going to take away from?

I just got this note: This is for everyone to go sign!! When I did only 33 people from Texas had signed it. It is for us to be able to send things to Iraq and Afghanistan for free. Good Grief - they even need toilet paper sent to them!!
Our prisoners have better facilities than our soldiers. We need to meet their EVERY NEED and some of their WANTS!!

Please go to the website and sign - Click Here - or copy and paste from below.

I just returned to Illinois after a three week trip to visit family in Tucson. While we were there, our son took leave and drove first to Azle, then to Tucson. There's a "friend" in Azle he went to visit. I'm waiting for them to tell me they're more than friends after almost five years! She's a sweet Texas girl. He also adopted TEX from Dallas! I told him I'm buying him a coat, and my sailor made me promise I'd buy a manly coat that wouldn't damage Tex's self-esteem!

Makes me wonder how many Navy moms in the Texas Group have sailors in San Diego when I met so many people who say, "I'm from Texas!" Its like a connection you can't have anywhere else. You know they miss home, even though the weather here is enjoyable. 12 graduated today, including my son and the sailors parents, wives and girlfriends enjoyed each others companies and shared so much in common, we are getting together tomorrow night for dinner. Just wanted to say hello and that my sailor looks sooooo good to me.
