HI
it was wonderful to see some Navy moms last night at the Trace Adkins concert
it was a wonderful evening
perfect weather.
Trace Adkins was wonderful
I had heard some of his music through my kids but not like last night.

the place was packed but not to capacity.
alot people did not know he was coming
We are wondering if he would do the Navy Seal fitness challenge?

like do push ups or curl ups with his arms.

Us Navy moms did not know we could bring chairs etc.

I was not crazy about the beer and the smoking but it was outdoors.

well anyway
GO Navy.

An Associated Press photographer captured 19-year-old Army specialist Zachary Boyd fighting off a Taliban ambush in Afghanistan -- in his underwear. The photo of Boyd, clad in the pink "I *heart* NY" printed boxers ended up on Tuesday's front page of the New York Times.
His mother, who lives in Keller, said her son was sleeping when someone opened fire on his base and he didn't have time to put on his uniform or boots.

Boyd called his parents on Monday to let them know he might be in the paper. His father said that after he logged onto the New York Times' Web site he laughed for the next five minutes.

"I knew he was a boxer guy, I knew that for sure," Tommy Boyd told WBAP. "I did not know they were pink, and I didn't know they said, 'I love New York.'"

Janet, is it still in some box? I know that the "trash can" has to be emptied two or three different places before it is actually gone - and then still I think it can be retrieved.

Nancy, I agree! There is nothing wrong with making mistakes (we ALL have).
The wrong comes in when people KEEP making the SAME mistakes.
I teach in a Federal prison. When an inmate does federal time - there is no parole! It saddens me to see young men having to serve 20+ year sentences and they have already learned from their mistakes. I am thankful when my sons (or me for that fact) learn a hard lesson and the punishment is "doable".
Glad to see he is back on the right path!

Irene, thank you for taking the time to take those and post them for us. Hugs. Are any of those in Ft. Worth, or all in Dallas?

They made me cry!! My sailor texted this morning some news. We are back into the great unknown!!! ugh - The worse part of this is not knowing things!

Carole, Keller is a city (or something like that) - close to Fort Worth.

Look up at the discussions above and read the one about the Navy SEAL Fitness Challenge.

Thanks for joining Texas' Moms - Glad you are here!

Carole, Coyote is from Spring and I will probably be in Conroe for Mothers Day, I forgot it was the next week-end! There are so many moms from the Woodlands, Spring, and the surrounding area. Let me know what new info you may have. Thats the same week-end as Keller, isn't it? Oh my gosh.
