The first signed baseball Patrick received was Nolan Ryans signature on a baseball. We loved to watch him play, nothing like it, except when I watched the Cardinals with my grandma. I was born in St. Louis.

Kate, how's that working, with the game? Tickets and such? I don't know if I can even go, but I can dream...

Joni - the St. Louis arch???? Come ON - he needs to put the Alamo there!!!

Yea, I talked with Yvonne today. She said that she got in touch with almost everyone about their schedule for May 9.

The Fort Worth school district just closed down all schools and related UIL and sporting events. Not real sure how this will effect the SEAL challenge.
We will try to keep up to date as quickly as possible.

Yvonne is going to email everyone that she has their email address also. I missed her first call, called her back and left her a message. I also left Elle a PM saying I was sorry to miss her call. She called me back at the time I could talk.

Yeppers - they are offering tickets to the Texas Ranger and New York "Somebodies" (I like sports even less than I like politics) for Memorial weekend for the volunteers of the challenge. Unfortunately, I will be in NEW YORK for that weekend!! I am flying up to help them bar-b-que for the Sailors and Marines for Fleet Week!!!!
SOOOOO EXCITED~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New York is so awesome - especially when there with other Navy MOMS!!!!

Melanie - so sorry also - we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Joni - how is the Sailor?? Is he enjoying being home as much as mom enjoys him being there?? Derek would just come home for meals - then out with friends again. I did not mind as long as he was home in bed every night!

Donna (and Texas' Moms) - from what I understand (and this is just me) - the Paint the Town event is over a span of time. It is just advertising for the Navy. They will have things like billboards, bus signs, in New York they had signs in Grand Central, etc. There will be several events that they usually have. The Navy SEAL Challenge is just one of them that we are invited to attend. There will be others like air shows. We have just been asked to either sit in the stands as group and cheer, work at at booth or hand out wet towels at the finish line. There are three shifts available. Just check the link above!!!

Millye, glad Claire and Patrick had 4 days together. Yes! Was a long time and will be a long time again I'm sure before they get to see each other again. Say hi to D for us.

Rita, BS - is ME!! hehe

Just kidding - BS stands for battlestations. It is kinda like the final exam for boot camp except it is more physical that academic!

PIR - Pass in Review - kinda like graduation from boot camp (You won't want to miss this if possible.)
