Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey, Just reading the comments about keeping your receipts. I have every receipt for anything I charged over the past ten years. I wanted them in case my ex ever took me back to court AGAIN - I wanted to prove I provided for the boys! I am planning on burning them all in the near future - both boys are "adults" now!!
Well, I have done income taxes for other people for years - but I am not absolutely positive about this - but. . . EVERYONE gets a standard deduction for sales tax. My grandmother used to keep her receipts and add them all up - then, she realized that it was about the same as the standard deduction.

I live in Round Rock and my daughter will be leaving for BC on May 18th so we have sometime to spend with her. She told us she was going to talk to a recruiter on Tues Jan 13 and she took her oath on Thursday Jan 15th. It took us sometime excepting her joining but do feel this is the best thing for her.

aw - Teresa - You DIDN"T dominate the conversation!!! I LOVED hearing about you and your Sailors adventures!!! It was amazing stories!! Oh, the souveniers she brought were outstanding! She had the neatest statue of "The Lone Sailor" - it was just breathtaking!! You and your stories are always welcome at our get-togethers!!!
Mary, I am still at C's house - I'll try to get pictures on when I get home later tonight. C has had too much company to post hers.
Serena, we missed you but hope you feel better soon.
The rest of our Keller Texas' moms - great to meet you and I hope to meet many more soon!!!

I want to thank all of ya'll for the wonderful comments I have been reading. My two sons are still DEP. One has to finish High School and the other wants to finish his freshman year in college.
I now know that I am not alone and know what to look forward to as they prepare to leave. I try not to cry in front of them as I mentally prepare for them to leave. My house will be so quiet without my boys.
