OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am from Ellis County and my son's PIR is 4/22. This morning I watched the PIR and I can't wait to be there and watch it in person. I had chills knowing my son will be marching in like they did. Awesome!!!!

Hi EvansMom.    You have us now too!    I'm from the Missouri City area.  My son is in Div 149, Ship 4.   His PIR is April 8 and I cannot wait to see him.

This forum has been a godsend to me because I never knew it would be so nerve wracking knowing if they are doing well, etc.  The information that is shared is comforting and I feel, all us mothers have a special bond.

Its funny, I travel the world for work but knowing he is going to be doing the same or the fact that he's not here,  kills me.   We just need to trust that we've instilled good morals and virtues and let them spread their wings and fly....

D-Mom, You are welcome to join us at Ziziki's at Preston Forest at 7:00 p.m. There will be at least one or two other moms there who are new to the group. Hope to see you there!
