Thinking of all of you Moms this weekend.  If they are not with you in person they are with you in spirit!  Have a great day!!!

My sailor will be heading home for a couple wks on 5-10.  So I may not be on very much the next few weeks.

I pray that his travels are safe in both directions.

Thank you Darcey!  He said that they were working on getting another "earned" call before BS21 this coming Thursday to Friday 5/5 to 5/6.   I'm hoping and praying that when he calls again that all will be well.

I know that if things were not OK, I'd be getting a phone call with more concern than this, but it still worries me.  I am confident in the care he got at the ER, but boy, I sure wish I could've been there!

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of my son and me.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Ladies - It's been a while since I've posted or commented on this page.  My SR called just a few minutes ago - we talked for almost 20 minutes!  So glad to hear his voice!  He sounded sick, but alot of the guys are.  Please pray for him.

He told me that Thursday, during class, they were given a "head" break.  While he was standing in line for that, he felt himself get nauseous and realized his vision was going.  He grabbed the guy in front of him and long story short, he passed out pretty hard.  He ended up in ER at the VA (he was admitted for 6 hrs.)  They ran all kinds of tests - EEG, EKG, CT Scan the whole 9 yards.  They came up with a "not sure why" diagnosis.  He went back to the base and was ok.  The next day at chow it almost happened again, but he fought it off.  He said once he got food in him he was ok.

I asked him about his food intake, allergies, reactions to shots - all came back that everything was ok.  Please pray that he will not have any more episodes and that God will keep my SR in His care.

I believe in the power of prayer and in healing.  He's come this far and I would hate to see him not accomplish all that he's worked so hard for.  Thank you!

After reading some previous posts I thought I'd share they also have a St Christopher with Navy on the back. I bought myself Padre Pio, also known as St. Pio of Pietrelcina He is the patron saint of stress relief and the January blues. I can use all the help I can get to "NOT STRESS"

Our PIR was April 8. Outstanding! As an Army brat myself and mother of 3 boys, I thought I had some idea of what to expect. Let me tell you, Nothing can prepare you for what you will experience. Best analogy I can think of is childbirth. You hear others advice and experience and you educate yourself, but until you actually go thru it, you truly have no clue. What an amazing experience for our Sailor and our entire family. Thank you RTC! Bravo Zulu ~

So excited!  My son sent me a letter today.  He said things are getting better in his Division as far as "getting their act together".

Here's the fun news for me - B told me that a few of the guys told him that he should be a chaplin!  One of his Nuke buddies asked him why he wasn't a chaplin.  That makes my heart sing, cuz his dad was a pastor (he passed away in a car accident 11yrs. ago).

I pray that B's heart stays glued to Jesus.  I'm thankful that God is using him to speak to the hearts of his shipmates.  He said too, that another one of his guys went to church with him this past Sunday - never been to church ever!   B was praying that God would speak to this SR.  He said that they were doing a Bible study after church on Sundays - PTL!

Update on Peaches' son.  He is okay.  He was actually wounded a couple of weeks ago and the wound had become infected, but she reported this morning that he is good.  The medics are taking good care of him now.  Praise the Lord in Thanksgiving.
