Mama C Ship 12/Div 168
My daughter graduated boot camp 3/18/11, She was the Lead/Lead Religious Petty Office as her job while she was in basic. She had to go make sure everything was set up at the chapel and everything went well on Sunday. She said the Contemporary Service was awesome. She was really moved by their services. She said it was just a really awsome sight to see all the recruits there worshipping and praising God, No agendas - just God. See, the chapel is all recruit ran, so they have "ownership" in it and lots of pride. Ashlie got to take us back to the chapel on the Friday night before she left for A school. The recruits were in there cleaning, and taking care of everything. I was so moved by the loving spirit in that place. It really brought tears to my eyes. All those young men and women were proud to be there doing their part, and all had such a sweet, loving spirit. It was a awsome experience. My daughter just walked around in the chapel like she knew her life had been touched there, and like she didn't want to leave it behind. I pray your son does well - I'm sure he will, and I hope this makes you feel some better... there is an awsome place for him to worship and praise God!
Good Morning to all here! I'm new to this site, but not new to N4M's. I have a son currently at BC with a PIR date 05/13. I got his first "real" letter this past week - he got to BC 03/16. So far so good, but I'm continuing to pray that he connects with other guys that have the same faith beliefs that he does. This has been my prayer, that B stays strong in his faith and that he can be the light that shines the life of Jesus. I've asked him if he has attended the Contemporary Christian chapel, but I think this might be his first week to be able to do that, and I think our letters may have crossed in the mail. He may not have gotten it yet to answer.
Hoping to get to know many of you on this site. BTW - I live in Indiana
Annette, very brave of you to share your troubles with your husband. I pray that this helps both of you heal. These valleys we cross make the mountains more worth it in the good times. Prayers are continuing for your son and your family. PNM, will be praying for reconciliation for you and your son also.
Our shoulders are here for those who need. (((((HUGS))))
Prayers heading out to all. May god give all of you extra strength in these trying, stressful times. Hugs to you all.
