My son just had his PIR on Friday. He is at his A-School. GOD is answering prayers. His roommate is a Christian. PRAISE the LORD!!!

I am so excited!!! I talked to my sailor for half an hour this morning (hung up about 15 minutes ago). He sounds great and is excited to be on dry land for a few days.
It really made me feel good to hear his voice. The only problem is, I don't thing anyone has told him about his uncle passing away last month. I won't say anything until I know it is okay to talk to him about it. I sent a message to our ombudsman to see if she knows what I should do.

Also, 4 days after I returned home from my brother-in-law's funeral, I found out a long time friend had passed away also. I know The Lord will get me through this time of grief and keep reminding myself of that.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I made the trip back home and returned to OK without any mishaps.

Laura, I may be late, but am praying for your husband to make the best decision for his dad.

I have another prayer request. I lost my brother-in-law Randy at 3:45 a.m. this morning when he went home to Our Lord and to be with his mother and father. He was 59 years old.

Please keep my sister Ranette and her son Conner, along with Randy's 2 older children Danielle and Travis in your prayers.

I will be traveling back home today. Pray for travel mercies for me also.

Thank you.

I was able to talk with my sailor son for an hour yesterday; first time since July! He is doing great and is planning to re-enlist this weekend if all goes well.

He received a Navy Achievement Medal while out to sea. We are hoping he can come home for Christmas this year, for the first time since 2005!

Hi everyone! Had a great time at PIR!!! Loved our time with our sailor, until it was time for good bye!!! :( That was THE WORST!!!! He is on his way to Pcola as we speak. Hoping & praying that he will be able to class up soon, sounds like that is a HUGE problem there!!

Rhonda 8881 - do you have an address for the family of James Michael Swink? I would love to send them a card.
