Hi there! My SR PIR's 10-08-10. Less than 3 weeks - cannot wait to see him!!! :-)

Please pray for my son who is taking is OOD test this week. I, as his mother, am probably more nervous than he is but I ask that you please keep him in your prayers.

Mikie724 - your comments brought tears to my eyes - tears of pride and anticipation for a feeling of belonging and purpose I'm not sure my SR has really had before. I know this is one of the driving forces for him becoming a Sailor - in fact his words to us were "I want to do the greatest good for the greatest number of people that I can at any given time...and I want to belong" Broke my heart and made me proud at the same time - such an amazing thing the human heart our God gave us - you'd think it would burst sometimes! :-) Anyhow, I've often been a civie that stopped and thanked a service person from my heart, does me good to picture my son having that experience! Good for you on the wonderful child you raised!

Please pray for all our military; but especially those SRs who will be going through BS later this week & next week. Div 319 will go thru Friday evening; while I'm out of town for the weekend. Told my SR I had better still get my call, when he is finished! :) :)

Please remember the family and friends of James Michael Swink, a sailor who was killed in action in Afghanistan on August 26, 2010. May you rest in the Peace of our Lord's loving arms.

If I receive the address of the family and you would like to send a card, please leave me a message.

Kathy, thank you for the update on Ron. I added him to my prayer list at church and have had several people asking for an update. I will pass this on to them and ask for continued prayers for his healing and that of his family.
