I just came across the news of a sailor's death this weekend in a car accident. Please pray for the family of Grant--(grantsmom). You can find her by searching members.

Ever seen the movie Deliverance? My son married into it! I started a page about divorced sailors that tells a lot of the story.

Ruth, that is absolutely wonderful!!!
Cathy, I have seen there is a group here for mom who have to deal with this type of GF. I'm glad, like Rhonda, I have liked the girls my sons has chosen so far. But I do have SILs that leave a lot to be desired! One has pretty much taken my brother from our family. Prayers to all! :) Have beautiful weekend!

YAY Ruth! Patience is a difficult thing for us moms when our children are away.
I am sure he will do well on his next test also.

So far I have not had to deal with many girlfriend issues but the couple of times it has seemed to be a little serious has been enough! It is very difficult to "accept" the women my son has chosen at times. Thankfully the Lord revealed to him what he would be getting into before it was too late.

He just called! He passed! And then went home to sleep. He's had pneumonia for about two weeks. His knees have been bothering him, too, from hitting an IED in Afgh. two years ago. So this is a huge relief! Thank you so much for the prayers. Now, the advancement test next month...

And thank you!
Rhonda, cruise through the girlfriend pages on here. There are lots of pushy girls, pushy moms, desperate girlfriends. It's interesting reading.

No news is good news? I haven't heard from him. Don't know if that's good or bad. I could call him, but if he didn't pass, I want to let him tell us when he's ready.

CathyJ - remember you can always send private messages instead of commenting on the wall on Facebook, (if you want to stay friends with you son's best friend). Isn't it a great feeling when we hear from God! Sometimes we don't hear what we want, but it is still an awesome thing to know He heard you.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Ruth - Praying for your son. If the interview is already over, please let us know how he did.

SimplyJRB - Glad to know you are better and have such a great attitude! There will be hard days, but staying busy is a great way to get through it. I will pray for you to find the strength to endure this tough time.

My husband is taking me on an overnight trip this weekend to celebrate our 29th anniversary! I am excited but would appreciate your prayers for Safe Travels and Protection. Also for my youngest son (20) who is house sitting.

Also, my Sailor is on deployment in the Pacific Ocean and I would appreciate the same prayers for his sub, the Olympia.

Have a
