Cathy, sounds like the prayers really did work. It gave some peace.
Ruth, I'll be praying for your son. :)

I have a prayer request--my son is in the final requirement for Master Instructor and need to pass the interview in front of the board tomorrow, the last step. Please pray he finds the right words to express himself well, remembers what he needs to say, and passes! Thank you!!!

Cathy,
you can have more than 4 people, but anyone past the 4 has to wait until all four on each sailors' list is seated before being allowed in.

I don't know if your son can change his list or not. They only way to find out is to ask him or his recruiter. I would try not to think about it too much. If she really has not talked to him about it, it won't matter.

It will also depend on how he really feels about this girl.

Good Luck, it will all resolve itself soon. God Bless!

I don't know how I would handle that. That is a hard question. I know that I would feel the exact same way if I were in your situation.

Jim's Mom - It get better but it also takes time. Try to keep busy as much as possible. That is what got me through BC.

We have big shoulders and our clothes soak up tears very well. LOL! Anytime you need, I am here as well as the others.

I knew it would be hard; it was hard when my fiance (now husband) did it. But this was even harder. It is so nice to know that all of you are here to help. :)

Watched my son be sworn into active duty this morning. Stayed at MEPS, until it was time to get on the bus. He & one other sailor got on headed for GL, that was about 12:30, got a text at about 2 they were sitting at a gas station outside gate of the base. Now I'm trying to get myself together & can't seem to stop the tears. Thankfully my sister has invited us to cook, cause I don't feel like doing anything! :(

Thanks Rhonda. I will share that with him. I joined the Bootcampers group, the other day. Thanks for all the prayers; I know that he will do fine & so will we. I also know that it won't be easy for any of us! Denise, congratulations on your son coming home. I have a brother that just retired from the Army after 26 yrs. The going & coming home never seems to change, or get easier. God Bless them ALL!!!!

SimplyJRB (Jim's Mom)

Once you know your son's ship and division, you (or another mom) can start a group for that specific division so you can get to know the families of the recruits in the group with your son. I think there might be a group for Boot Camp Mom's also.

Go to the "all groups" page and search through there. You are welcome to continue posting here also. We "experienced" moms still enjoy offering our wisdom and prayers for "newbie" moms.

God Bless you and your son and please tell him for me, "Thank you for your willingness to serve our great country". Will be praying for his success in the U.S. Navy.
