Carolyn: Did your parish receive a call from the Navy regarding your son's standing? I worked as the Pastor's secretary for years.

Thank you ladies, it is so comforting to hear your thoughts and know that you understand exactly how I feel. Its not sadness I feel, its a wonderful feeling that my son feels his faith is important. Tears of joy...He asked me to send him verses to read. Wow, God works in amazing ways!

Hello ladies, I'm so glad I found this group. My son's first letter said he had gone to Mass on Sunday but it wasn't the same without his family and those who love him. I kept praying last Sunday as I sat in Mass that he keeps strong in his faith. My prayers go out to all of you in the path of Fay.........

Bless again this day the mysterious computer
which awaits your power and my human effort.
Grant wisdom, knowledge and a clear memory to my mind
as I sit before this new creature of your infinite power.
Bless my heart with endless patience whenever needed.
Guide my hands that I may be your faithful servant in every key I press.
Enable my limited efforts to bring glory to your Name
and blessings to your people everywhere.
Delete me not from your Kingdom
and save me from all fear and from all error of sin and ignorance.

I whisper this prayer, mindful of the needs of all with whom and for whom I work,
through the power of your Word and the life-giving energy of your Spirit.

Amen.

I worked at my parish for 4 years and one of the many things I did was ordering all kinds of religious supplies for everyone, from the pastor to the religious education department to the youth minister. One of my most frequently visited websites is Autom.com. I even ordered our palms and ashes from them! They have great prices and if you email them you can get on their catalog list. They have some very inexpensive stuff (molded plastic from China) that is great for large groups or kids and they also carry some high quality stuff. If you don't see what you want, just call them or email them. Happy shopping fellow Catholics! Peace and Blessings to each of you and your families....M

I was wondering if there is a place where we can check what time the masses are on Sunday at BC.

Hi Catholic Moms!
That's wonderful that your sailors are going to mass. I don't think my son has gone since he's been there. But he's on my daily prayer list, so maybe he'll try and hook up when he gets to San Diego.
