Hello Proud Navy Mom.  It is hard for all of us to let go and let God.  Our youngest will be graduating from ODS in 10 days.  It's been hard for my husband and our son's fiancee.  But, as we know, God is good...all the time; and, all the time....God is good.  Our children must be strong through our Lord, Jesus Christ, in the path they have chosen to be servants for their country.  We pray for all of our military for that strength.  And, we too, must be strong for them...strong in spirit, heart, mind, and body.  It is not only our sons and daughters that enter the military...so do we.

Lord bless this young sailor as he commits himself to You and to his country.  Bless him with a double portion of your strength in these next months as he is tested and trained to be a soldier and sailor.  Bless him Lord and be his strength, defense, and shield as he takes up the armor and shield to defend his country and the people who live here (Ps 28:7 & 118:14).  Lord bless him to be strong and courageous for You, himself, his family, and his country (Dt. 31:6).  Bless him to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power (Eph 6:10).  Jesus, look favorably upon your brother, your sailor.  Bless him with abundant and exceeding health and restoration to his body, mind and spirit.  Anoint him Lord from the top of his head to the soles of his feet to keep him safe and secure.  Order his footsteps, Lord, and bring him divine appointments that he may be a witness to Your Holy name.  Keep him safe and protected by Your Holy angels.

Lord, bless this dear family with your peace to know that their son is safe in your arms.  Lord, bless this family with Your joy for Your joy is their strength (Neh 8:10).  O God be their refuge and their strength (Ps 46;1).  And Lord, bless this mother with the heart of Your Mother, Mary.  God, be the strength of her heart and her portion forever (Ps 73:26). 

Amen and Amen.

Please say prayers for my son who has been in boot camp now for 3 days. That he will be strong, have the will to be a fighter and stay healthy. For his family that they can cope with there sadness that he is away. I am coping has been very hard on me to let go of my first born. I know with prayers and my faith I will get through. Thank you!

Hello TJ.  Lord, bless TJ's son and all of our military at home and abroad with your abundant safety, strength, courage, peace, wisdom, understanding, and love.  Lord anoint our soldiers with Your blood to protect them from all danger and evil.  Bless them Lord and send your guardian angels lead by St. Michael around them to protect them and raise them up.  Lord, bless our military with what they need in their darkest moments.  And, Jesus, bless all of the families who have loved ones who serve our country....bless them with peace, courage, and strength to continue to hold our soldiers in their hearts, spirits, and prayers.  Amen.

All is well, TJ.  We are all here for you.  But, most important, Jesus is there for you.  He is the lover of your soul, and  He will fill the void as your son is off to BC.

Prayers for all the Navy families!!!  My son just left for BC 3 days ago. I'm doing my best to cope, it's one of the hardest things to do. I know he's in a good place and prayers of all of the NAVY MOMS will see us all through.

Yes Rhonda, I hope that I am better than just an okay mom.  I am an Oklahoma mom.  I live in Tulsa.

Thanks Jeanne, I wish there were more priests to go around.  There are 6,000 souls in my son's strike force.  Hopefully that's enough to warrant a priest.

OK Mom - Donna this used to be the Roman Catholic Group but I think they were asked to change the name.  I remember reading something about that, but can't remember.

Donna is the OK for Oklahoma or just OK ?  I live in OK and am a member of the OK Navy Moms group.

Update - William is doing much better now.  Thanksgiving for Healing.

Rhonda congrats on your sons promotion - that is awesome :)  I haven't been on here for awhile myself.  I got caught up on the NavyMom facebook and there is also Navy Mom Prayers. 

OK Mom-Donna, we are also RC and I will check with our parish priest who was a navy chaplain out in San Diego many moons ago.  My son is also deployed now and he doesn't even get Sundays off - there is a 'service' I think it is more ecumenical and doubt that they would get our Eucharist.  I will be asking my priest if there is anyway it can be sent to my son on his deployment - he will not be in a port for at least 50 days - and I know they do not have every faith represented on ship. Just think of all the parishes on land that have to share a priest - doubt they'll be sending them out on deployemnt - LOL  .  ttyl, jeanne
