Laura A. has stepped and agreed to represent us on Saturday April 4th at 9:00 am Randolph Park for the Tucson DEP Zone Meeting. I've love to see someone else give Laura a little support. If you have 2 hours to spare, you can help Laura out AND support our local DEPPERS!

Hi Tucson Moms! Julie (Cory's) from Peoria asked that I post this for all of you to see. I WILL be attending this event. (Yes, we still have a DEP meeting in Tucson on the same date!)

Ladies: Moms, Wives,Girlfriends, Grandmas! We have been invited / requested to attend the April 4th North Central Phoenix Zone / Dep picnic. It will be held at Cortez Park at 35th Ave and Dunlap (3434 W. Dunlap) I guess they heard what a huge success the Zone Meeting in Tucson was!! I will get it posted on "Events" tomorrow. They asked if we would be availabe to talk to the parents of new recruits, tell them our experiences and, of course, invite them to join "Navy for Moms". I asked what we should plan to provide for the picnic and was told they would need side dishes, chips, eating utensils and paper products. They specifically requested NO DESSERTS or concentrated sweets.
Please plan to attend if you can....I think we made a really big impression in Tucson.....and I hope we can do again.

Hi Jill! Glad you all got a call from Brandon. Isn't just wonderful to hear their voice?? Sounds like he's doing really good. My son complained about boredom towards the end of boot camp also. Once they get the routine down, all is well. What is your son's job in his division? You must be proud of him for helping out his rack mate!
My son loves sports and I sent him all the sports articles in the paper, everyday. He said he really enjoyed have the local and national sports.

Suzann: Is the Truman deployed? I have a lot of info for you if it's deployed....when does Paul report to Norfolk?? Here's my home number 520 290-8933 or my cell 520 444-5238 Verizon. I'll delete this message as soon as you read it!

Suzann: My son reported to Norfolk last October and is stationed on the USS Ramage (a destroyer). I do have info about Norfolk (not ALL the info...lol). I'm driving Matt's car to Norfolk in a couple of weeks and will be there for 6 days along with some of our other Navy Moms.

Glad to hear Chris is liking the Hampton Roads area. It makes a mom feel better to know our kids are settling in....lol
Congrats on 18 years! Glad you took the time to celebrate.

Okay, the Bush Boat does NOT have it's own website yet!
Comment by Melissa (Tucson) on March 6, 2009 at 2:42am
Have him send an email to his sponsor. Does he have the email? And go to the Bush Boat website and see if you can register as a family member. All the ship websites are set up a little differently so I can't give exact site info. You will want to be on the emailing list for the ship's ombudsman and the FRG President (Family Readiness Group). Let me go check out the Bush Boat website....brb
