New to this site curious to see how this works. I just returned home from Sar Graduation in JAX. It was an amazing and time well spent with our Sailor son. His class had an awesome bunch of men and women (1)that we were fortunate to hang out with. What an Elite group of Sailors. So Proud!!  Our son leaves today for his second deployment. I miss him sooo much already. Half of my heart leaves today:(

Hi all here! My sailor just graduated SAR and is home on leave; getting ready to report back to his ship. Anyone can clue me into how his job will change with these new responsibilities? My sailor is pretty tight lipped about it!?

Thanks

My boyfriend & I have really been talking a lot about getting married even before he left for basic. He graduates basic on august 5th then goes to Pensacola, Florida. We want to get married sometime while he's in A school. Just dont know when yet because of the busy military schedule and stuff. But when we do get married does anyone think that they will let us live together during A school? & On Base or Off? Is their a certain amount of time we have to be married before a deadline or anything? I need to know everything I can & he also is wantng me to write him info. Any Information is greatly appreciated. My name is kelsey by the way

Hello all, I'm not a mom...a dad actually lol. I'm looking into joining the Navy. I've gone to MEPS for physical and ASVAB but haven't seen a classifier yet. Just researching several different jobs that would interest me and get as many details as possible before taking the plunge. The AW rating has stood out as one I think I would really enjoy, but my main question or concern rather, is how will my young family be affected? I'm 25 married (4yrs) with a 2yo son & 4mo daughter. We live in FL so it seems training in P-cola would be good as I would be somewhat close to home, but what of FRAC-SERE? Will the Navy PCS my fam out with me, or am I on my own for the 6+ months I'll be training out there? Any help or advise would be most helpful!

Thanks Eric.
