OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thank you! Addie is my sailors little girl. He sees her as often as he can but unfortunately she lives here in Oklahoma (2 hours from us) and he is in SD.

Nick is doing really well. He lost his SWCC contract right after boot camp due to hearing loss. He was very upset at the time. He is now in Sasebo, Japan on the USS Denver. It was rough at first, but he is having the time of his life now! He has already been to 5 countries and they will go to Australia in the spring. We have had to ship him his golf clubs, ski gear, and baseball mitt!!! Being undesignated will hopefully open some doors for him later.

I haven't read all the comments,,,,,,how is your son? Does he know what he will be doing now? I'll be thinking about you all and praying for the best outcome for him!!

I work SMTW OR MTW nights. Been doing this for 3 years now. James was PIR 9/2. He said it was more of a lottery to get in, not by name and that's why he's not in right away (if it was by name he should have been pretty close to the front with "Crooke").
Been an RN for 27 years with a BSN from Univ of Alabama--was there for the last 4 years of Bear.
I'll be looking out for you and maybe you can look out for me at GPMC.
Welcome Aboard!!!!

Hey! Your son is going into aircrew rescue swimmer program? Welcome! My son has passed thru these schools and is leaving Pensacola on Saturday to go to FRAC in San Diego. We visited him in Pensacola last weekend to see him become 3rd class Petty Officer. Make sure you join Moms of Aviation Rescue Swimmers - it's a great group! If you have any questions, pls ask away! ~Kerry

Welcome to N4M. Here are some groups you should consider joining. They will help you get adjusted.
Click on the underlined links:

2. Depper’s… in but not yet . is a group for those just waiting for bootcamp to start (Delayed Entry Program – a depper)
3. Boot Camp Moms group. Is he/she already in bootcamp? Or just about to go in? This is the group.

Read this blog to get a jump start on how to use the N4M site.
Welcome to New Members
The “Search” function should be your new best friend. You should do searches in blogs, forums, discussions for answers in previously posted threads BEFORE adding a NEW blog/discussion. Finally, it takes time to learn how to use this site. Be patient. Check your page & status box often.
