I have heard from a lot of the communication on the Navy for Mom's site discussing how cold it is in the sleeping areas on the ships-are they allowed to have blankets from home? Are they allowed to…Continue

Just an FYI . . . I got an envelope in the mail from the photographer who took pictures for the USS ANZIO CRUISEBOOK. The pic of my son that he took was really nice. He has a website with everyone's pictures on it. I ordered the personalized pic with his name/rank, the ship's name and deployment info.
Here's the link: USS ANZIO CRUISEBOOK Pictures
The photographer is active duty Navy getting ready to retire. He seems like a real nice guy!
Here's his info: 6311 Photography
I have no connection with him, I just like what he's offering and thought I'd share!
ncmadocent- how fun!! My grandfather was from the Ukraine so when my grandmother heard they were there she got very excited. I wish I could have gone there! Fingers crossed that he'll take you ;). My husband's mother is from Puerto Rico, which is where the spanish comes from- the french is from college.
and Your_Anz thanks for the info! I've been bad about checking lately. Wish I was gonna be in town for the meeting!
My SIL also speaks English, Spanish and French. He's a French citizen, but is Spanish on his mother's side. He just joined the Anzio a short time before they left and everything I have heard so far is very positive. Since I am half Ukrainian, I was hoping he would enjoy Ukraine-and he did. Now maybe when he retires (about 4 years) he'll take me there. ; )
