While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I decided to start this group to see who else may have a Sailor on this ship; or heading to this ship.

Granted, we may be a bit limited to what we can discuss openly online, but if nothing else, may be a good way to connect and network off-line as well.

Make sure to not disclose advance ship movements or other OPSEC issues.

My son is an FC2 on this ship.

Yes, jeans and a nice shirt will be just fine for the night before party. They should answer any questions you have, plus the ombudsmen and FRG members should be there, so you can ask them any questions you might have.

I am guessing jeans and nice shirts but I told them I would find out. Does anyone know? I know this is not a huge deal but this is a first for us and they are getting nervous about everything :) Also at the party we should be given information on how to get on base and where to go? Thanks in advance for any help :)

Will they not let us in if we don't know what to tell them? Not sure I will hear from him again before that day.
