Hello they have to have a sponsor to help them get familarized with the ship. It should be in there orders. I cant check this info when I am at work however you can always text me or call me. I live in Virginia however I have a Florida number. I am excited because my son can easily come home for a hot meal on the weekends, sometime everyday when he gets to Norfolk because he is less than 45 minutes away. (904-402-1212)

Hi Joyce,

Yes, I will be leaving from Englewood, NJ on the 8th.  I will not be there for the meet and greet on the 8th because I willbe arriving at a later time in the evening.

Where  will you be staying at, on base or at a near by hotel?  I am not sure yet where I willl be staying.  is there anything you can share with me as I get ready for this trip.  Is there any special things you are bringing with you?

I have made up my mind that I am gonna fly into Milwaukee. It's cheaper & less stressful airport! One of the Mom's from Wisconsin highly recommended it. She said the drive down to Waukegan or Great Lakes is a very easy drive, about an hour. From Chicago it is about 50 minutes if you don't hit a bunch of crazy traffic! I am renting a car. It was pretty reasonable. I am on a VERY tight budget! I am a single Mom & I have been saving every penny I get my hands on to go to PIR! And it seems something keeps going wrong to take some of that money! But I am going no matter what!!!! I want to be there for my Son! I am SOOOO proud of him!

Hey!  Thanks for starting the group.  You may want to go ahead and put the PIR before 9/9/11 because you will be adding divisions numbers behind it once we know them.

So it should read:  PIR 9/09/11

Thanks!
