For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

What goes on for homecoming? Should I be planning something? I live in Las Vegas, My son is just finishing A school in GL and will be join the Bataan in December some time.
when do we need to start making reservation plans for homecomming. If someone knows you can friend me or I will give my email address to you. Thanks in advance.
does anyone know the "cut off date" ? I sent a thanksgiving package, but not sur about if a Christmas package will get there in time.. us post office insured it to be there in 1 week... we'll see.. tommorrow!! Emails have been daily!!! My sons first deployment as well... his meeting with Career development "higher ups" said he will be in training for another year...not sure if it's in Norfolk..

mso ship11 Hello there, My son is just finishing A school in GL as well and will be joining Bataan in December. He is looking for others who are going with him. I sent you a friend request so maybe we can get our boys together. I am worried too.
Thanks Stephanie about the ship being low on snacks, my son never says anything about that or the bedding, but this is his first deployment.
mso ship11 Division 366; Ship life is a huge adjustment. He just has to get thru it. It'll get better. My husband just got to the Bataan a couple weeks ago and he prefers the Eisenhower to the Bataan. Anyway, he promptly requested the I send his pillow and navy blue pillow case(the pillows there are flat and he has to cover the one he got with a sheet), The ships store is lacking in snacks so I sent candy, cookies and goldfish crackers, he also wanted gateraid powder and koolaid powder. be prepared to mail stuff
