Tina took the words out of my mouth.  We have had to have someone 'stand in' for a Godparent who couldn't make it before, even though they weren't in the military.

One of my nephews had an emergency baptism in the hospital and then they had a rededication service at church so the sponsors could be included at a later date.

Agree, lots of pics!

My son is going to miss the birth of his 1st nephew (He is also going to be the Godfather).  I'm looking for some ideas on how to include him.  This will be the 1st major thing he will miss since he first enlisted.

I haven't heard from my son for over 2 weeks now. I am starting to get withdrawls of not hearing from him. So, hopefully soon. Hope all is well with everyone else and please post when you hear from them. I love reading all the posts :)

What have you heard from your sailors during Talisman Saber and their trip down under? I remember Katie's first trip down on the Essex....the 2nd trip was cancelled due to ship issues....as some of you remember.

hello, all.  seeing some "new" moms?  maybe not new to everyone else, but new to me.  glad to meet you, myersboy and kazzam!

sharon, i understand what you mean about procrastinating, hunter seems to be the same.  LOL  certain things that seem very important to me to get done don't seem to matter the same to him.  :(

my step brother is very talented, huh?  when he first started "making it big," he would donate a mural to a church (one per year), now, not still sure if he does that, but that's pretty cool.  mostly in catholic churches, as that is his upbringing.

have a great week all!

Hi Bsmom!  Welcome!  My son has been in Sasebo since May 2011.  Hard to believe it's been two years already!   He is a DC3.  Great group here with lots of information!  Have facebook chatted with Josh from Brisbane.  Few days of liberty.  He's a golfer and looking forward to that!  I can't wait to see pictures!
