WoW, had the best Christmas ever! The fun started at the airport, with friends and family we had 13 people there at 6:30 A.M.  I was so excited w anticipation,  that I don't think I had an hr of sleep...

My son, has really grown into a man. Cathy I took your advise and tried my best to "Stay in the Moment", (sometimes easier said than done) b/c once I got my hands on him, I didn't want to let go...I must have hugged and kissed him a million times<3

He spent most of his time at home. It was really fun, we'd wake up to 10+ kids scattered around the house every morning. He spent several days riding dirt bike w the boys and chillin around bonfires at night.

The only time I had him all to myself was when we went to Sam's to shop for his party. That was fine w me. Just having him here and waking up to his voice every morning was priceless.

We had a big party to celebrate his homecoming and 21st birthday. I was a bit worried b/c I did not get many RSVP's....good thing I planned like I did..Throughout the night we must of had a 100 guest! It was so cool - had a live band, bonfires, tons of food and yes alcohol! Good Lord, I haven't drank like that in 20 yrs...I was partying like a "Rock Star", good thing I hired a photographer from the high school to take pics...

They entire visit amazing and long overdue....The farewells, were difficult. Especially for his sisters - I promised myself to man-up this time b/c I needed to be strong for the girls. I did pretty good, although after the airport I came home and hibernated in my bedroom. That was the hardest day...felt much relief when he called to let us know he was back at his apartment with his mates.

Seeing how he's matured and knowing he has good friends, made everything easier.

I would love to get together w some of the N4M's and plan a mom's trip to Japan. Maybe is 6 mos or so....just a thought.

I was going to add some pics, but it's taking too long! If you're interested, look me up on FB Michelle Rainaldi Gawler

Thank you all for being so supportive <3 It was/is a big help.

Happy New Year!

Very excited for you, Sharon!  Hi Dana!  And hello to all Navy Mom friends.

Jesse seems so much better this year than he did last year returning after leave, hope it stays that way. He seemed focused on getting things repaired on the ship, and was really happy to be reunited with his shipmates. Finally, I think our Jesse is growing up!

Have a great weekend everyone, it's another snowy but pretty day here in Cleveland
