TrueBlue, I live in Cleveland, but I visit Orlando (Disney) once or twice a year, we have a disney vacation club timeshare and we love it.

Kyann, Jesse loves talking about his work and those he works with in his shop, I feel like I know them all, he spends hours showing us pics and videos when he comes home, and he loves to explain all the work they do on the ship, and I could listen to his stories forever. They sure are all different!

I can't believe Jesse will be here Friday, it's going to be difficult though too because my daughter and her family are living here (past two months). I still need to figure out how I'm going to get 5 people out of Jesse's basement bedroom and into the small upstairs bedroom. It will be much more stressful than it was last year, as last year was just Jeff and me and Jesse here for his leave.

I did get an answer on BHR fb site someone said the last shuttle to sasebo leaves at 2230 and arrives in sasebo at 0030. Hunters flight gets in FUK at 2155. I just hope he makes it back on time. Not sure what all bags he will have but hopefully, he will make the shuttle. His flight back gets in on the 27th. I don't know if their leave ends on the 28th, if getting back on base on the 28th is what they need to do.
I am so excited for him to be here, too, I think I'm driving everyone crazy. My husband, the " planner" doesn't want to make any plans and just let Hunter do what he wants. I understand that, but some people would like to know when he will be around so they can "plan" to see him. Oh, whatev, I'm just looking forward to spending time with him.
Just a few more days!!!!
Sharon, that would be so hard for me not wanting to talk about his Navy life. I want to know everything and see pics!!!
Take care, all

Good Morning,

It's official, my son is coming home Dec 14 - 26! I am so excited....I am making my entire family crazy LOL. I haven't seen him in almost 2 years. I'm sure many of you know how that feels....He's all I think about 24/7 <3

Anthony rents a small place off base with a few friends. Austin and Alan (I think) Used to be a Mike there too but I believe he went home after his 4yrs.

Just wondering if Austin and Alan's mom's are in our group...It would be nice to share some stories ~ By the looks of their flat, it's party central...

Does anyone else live in Florida? I'm just outside of Orlando. It would be great to connect with some locals.

Happy Holidays to All ~ Michelle

Love the picture Sharon!  Josh played soccer from 4 years old right through high school.  Indoor and outdoor.  His coach use to call him the baby bull.

Kyann, I'm happy for you that you got your reservations all set.  I know that when I've done them for Josh in the past, it's been stressful.

Happy for all of you as you are getting ready for a wonderful homecoming!  Since mine isn't coming home this Christmas, I am enjoying reading about all of your excitement!  I seriously can feel it!

   Happy Friday!!!

great pic, sharon!  so neat.

so, i made a round trip reservation for hunter.  ugh, the way they jockey those prices up and down just kills me!  last week it was at $1500+, then earlier this week $1700+ and $1500.  last night $1700, this morning $2200 and $1800.  UGH  so, i booked on cheapair for roughly $1800, did add insurance on.  checked airlines for confirmations--they are there!  whew.  i just pray it stays at that price and hunter makes it home and back.  he will be getting in close to 10p on 12/27.  hope that's ok.  he is killing me too by not getting back with me, or, if he does, he'll answer only 1 question, not all...boys!!!  hehe

i appreciate all you mom's help and advise.  thank you all so much!  next year will be lots different if he gets leave.  :)

Thank you, Sharon. I think we will opt for having Hunter use his ticket he already purchased and we will get his return flight. I don't want him to have that credit and forget about it or not be able to use it. At least he bought it for when he knows he can leave. I just have to make sure I get him one that gets him back in time.
Congrats, tina!

well, hunter's 1 way flight can't be canceled, and adding on to it is going to cost a ridiculous amount.  it was roughly $1500.00, so he can have a credit for a year, but to change anything on the ticket, it will cost $150.00.  UGH  hopefully, lesson learned!  so, now, i will make a round trip flight for him, with a different airline, and the round trip is going to cost roughly $1700.00.  he'll just have to remember to use that ticket if he wants to go somewhere for a visit, i guess.  plus the airline he was using didn't have a return flight that would have gotten him back in time.
