Hi Stacy's Mom and welcome to our group!  My son Josh has been in Sasebo since May 2011.  He was home on leave in August for about two weeks.  Loved having him home and as you can imagine hard to say goodbye!  He is a damage controlman (DC).  This is a great group of Moms!  In addition to checking in here for information, I also visit a facebook site named:  USS BONHOMME RICHARD FRIENDS/FAMILY/ABOARD.

And another weekend comes to an end  and starting the "rat race" all over again on Monday!   Take care!

Welcome Stacys Mom....I still check in wit this group....My daughter Katie was a DC on the Essex/BHR for 3 years.  She is now in Norfolk.  What rate is your daughter?  When katie arrived in Sasebo in April 2009, the ship was underway. They flew sent her to the Philippines to meet the ship.
