I guess we can start counting weeks instead of months till they come home.Is anyone going out to SD to meet your sailors?

Hi everyone! I talked to my daughter a few times last week while we were in SD and she is really enjoying the BH.She said the crew is a great group of people and she likes them more and more everyday.Good thing since the ship is so small! She sent a picture of her "office"mates and I wondered if any of those faces matched up with any Mom faces from here. This Mom cannot wait till they're all home.Take care all.

Thank you, Mary c 3!  I am definitely a new-bee -- have no idea what your sailors have been doing or how long they are typically away for.  Mine was given orders yesterday but doesn't know much else!  I see this is considered a small ship - can you say how many are on board?  Hope you all will see your sailors soon.

My daughter wrote a few days ago.Hoping to be able to get some shore time within the next few weeks. She called a few weeks ago but with her work schedule is usually only free to call around 3 am my time.As long as I get a call I don't care what tme of day or night it is.We're going out to SanDiego next month to visit baby and son-in-law.Time is moving very slowly for me this trip. How about everyone else?

My daughter said  they'll have it on but at 3:00 am she's in the middle of her shift. She thought she would be able to pop in and see how it's going.I think it was yesterday they had a"Steel Beach Picnic"Glad to hear they make their own fun.She sounded a little down  but I think she was mostly tired.Has a lot of trouble sleeping away from Baby.Have had a few phone calls from her.Hasn't received any packages yet.Have the flu that has been going around my Facility....better go to bed now.Good-Bye Moms.Sleep  well and hope our Sailors do the same
