Hi,  My Sailor is heading to Virginia next week.  He bought a Clear modem while in Great Lakes but looks like they don't have service in Little Creek.  Does anyone know how to get wifi or if it is provided?  Thanks.

Hi All, I am joining a little early.  My son is in A school in Great Lakes but has his orders to report to USS Carter Hall when he is done!  Sounds like a great ship to be on.  He will be DC Fireman.

I have some comments for anyone who cares to listen.... My daughter left Great Lakes last wed, arriving to Norfolk very late at night got to airport, no one at USO no place to ask for help,(as GL gave no direction for her and what to do no phone numbers for assistence, NOTHING, she had to take a taxi to the base 30.00 later, i might add. she got to a TPU barracks, they put her up ad told her to report some place at 0730 on MONDaY, a holiday weekend all alone no guidance of any kind, so monday report as directed and alls they did was tell her oh you are going to Little Creek do you have a car? Oh yeah i got one in my seabag LOL no offer of any transportation, (she new a friend stationed there so she called her and got a ride, in other words oh well GET THERE.  she gets to LC to the Uss CArter Hall reports as directed, well guess what the question of the day is What are you doing here we dont have room for you!!!!!Yes people I am very p   ed off, is this how we treat our young people that volunteer to seerve and protct our country for freedom?

Welcome ladies! My son is on the Carter Hall also. I'm not sure when they will be deployed again, but they will be going underway for 1-3 weeks at a time getting ready for deployment. Your sailors should get a schedule of that and be able to let you know. We have to be very careful about the information we post on here. We don't say anything that is not made public to help protect the safety of our sailors. It is best to get that info from you son or daughter. Welcome to the group!
