I have a "Google Alert" set up on my email address and every time they find the  ship's name mentioned in the news they send me a message.  I have found some neat pictures of the ship that way and an interesting one today mentioning an area of Naval command that the ship's entered today.   Try it ladies.   I have the alert set up as ""USS Comstock (LSD 45)""   in double quotes and it filters out stuff like drug related stuff etc.  You can put more than one alert on your email if you want to widen the search area, just be careful about how wide you make it and what links you click on when you get the alerts back.

That's probably nice!  My hubby and I don't have facebook.  He says he is just super busy all of the time.  He doesn't have much free time with his job.  Is deployment over yet??  lol

@BM3simswife - your very welcome  I am glad that I can pass on these updates.  I only ask her general stuff and I know that she would only pass on general stuff!

I guess the guys send shorter emails etc we seem to spend more time on fb chatting.  And a lot of her "free time" is spent on fb chatting to her hubby and myself!

cheffiona- thank you for all of your updates! And thank you to your daughter for allowing us to feel connected.  I get emails from my husband but they are always very short.  Like 2 lines telling me how tired he is.  lol  Typical man I suppose...no details.

Good morning all,  Just had 45 minute chat with her, she said everybody is sleeping stil lol and she was working overnight so and could not sleep!  Poor thing did not even know what day it was lol!  She said she is getting stronger, working harder and faster and tired more!!  Still has her cold so dental surgery still put off, which makes her happy!    They get to have a picnic once a week sounds fun, gives them a little break i guess from the routine!  And no payphones are working onboard so thats why no calls!  Its so good to hear from her!  I now just leave my computer on all the time as i never know when she will be on fb and also phone on high so i can fb on that if I am not at home lol I think I sleep with one ear listening for that ping on my phone so I know she is on fb!  Boy by the time this deployment is over I will need to sleep for a month lol!!  Does sound happier, not much!!!
