My son has been replying to my emails, but I have been trying to to send to many since I know his wife will be sending him emails also. Yeah for Bridgette...I mailed my first packages on 3/2 so if 9 days is the count the boys should have them by the 11th at the earliest.

Oh good...the first box arrived. Better timing than we expected. As you can see....Bridgette seems to be the only one who has found the computer room. She is certainly resourceful. That's great! I telI you...these guys are wired differently. But thank you Bridgette. I sent an email earlier and it came back????? Good luck to her and the dentist tomorrow.

Well Bridgettes 1st package got to her today I mailed it on the 23rd in the morning and today the 4th so  9 days!! so quicker than i thought  and this was the large priority box I jammed it full and she said not a lot of room to put it all i told her give some away to others so the next one should be there early next week!!  She sure knows her way to the computer room !

@cheffiona, how did Bridgette's oral surgery go today.

@anyone, what is the form that you all are talking about? Since my son is not a sailor assigned to the Comstock I have to wait on the ombudsman to find out what to do with me.

I was under the impression that the med & lg flat rate boxes were both military discounted ..but it sounds like the rules have changed, not sure when tho.

If you can save the file in a PDF format and then reopen the file you might be able to go back in reopen the saved file and try to fill in the blanks of the 1 page and then send the file as an email to the Ombudsman.

@kab  only the ship's email service is available to them in certain areas, all other internet surfing, emails, etc often gets shut down.   depending on where they are.  I'll send you a message about the ship's address.

phone service is available from the ship's phones IF they have "ship to shore" phone cards.  I believe they can buy them from the ship's store.  regular international phone cards do not work from the ship.  At port's they can use the International cards, if they take the time to find a phone booth.  Mine won't he's too busy with exploring, etc.   Last time around people could send ship to shore cards from the online NEX and have them sent to the sailor.   that is the only thing we can buy and ship to them without being in the military it's self.   I will look for link.

@ccNavyMom you can try going to a UPS store or a Fed-Ex store and see if they will scan and e-mail it to you then you can forward it to the ombudsman. Some bookstores have these kind of services also.
