@navynana    it is not unusual for their email to be down.  It happens from time to time on the ships.  If they are sensitive areas or if they just don't have the email capability up and running yet.

My husband is a boatswains mate and on the VBSS team. I mailed a package today as well. I agree they will contact us as soon as they can. I'm sure once its up and running everyone will be trying to use the computers. So it may be a while.

Hey BM3, my son is an ENFN and he was on the last deployment. What does your husband do? I haven't been to the ship's facebook page. But, it makes sense that they don't have everything up and running yet. I know my son will probably contact me as soon as he can. I mailed him a package today.

Sometimes email is down for a while when they're out at sea. My son told me to expect this-- it's normal.

Hi Cheryl, was your son on the Comstock for his 1st deployment? This is my husband's 2nd deployment on the comstock. It said on the facebook page that all email and telephone communications on the ship are down for the time being. 1hat does your son do on the ship?

Hey everyone, my son is on the Comstock and this is his second deployment. Doesn't make it any easier. But a little easier I guess to know what to expect in someways. I haven't tried to email, but I'm going tonight, keep checking hoping to hear something, but I know that I really will probably not hear anything for awhile. These groups do help and good friends come from this group also. Look forward to getting to know all of you.

Thank you for letting me know. I also just got the message. I had sent an email yesterday. This reminds me of boot camp. Guess we all have to settle in to the routine, as do all of them. Hope everyone is having a great day!
