Hi Julie - I don' thave any pics on here yet --- JUST RECENTLY got on here. My son is in the USS Peleliu pictures (he started on that ship - we believe he is now on the Dubuque --- he's a Corpsman -- if you go to the Peleliu site and click "Where's Wolfie" -- he's the corpsman taking care of "Wolfie" in bed --- guess he got sick -- it's s stuffed wolf an elementary school gave them before deployment and they're putting pictures of him throughout the deployment......I have to get on here after work so I can add some :)

No, Julie lol, those are all officers so your son wouldn't be there. You can tell by the tan belts and gold writting. [Though chiefs have the same sorta thing.] Our boys would be wearing black belts and have white writing. ;]

Welcome Wyette! Nice to see the group still growing. Lol. What rate is your fiance? Tell us about you two! I always enjoy hearing stories.

So how was everyone's Father's day? Lee was kind of down leading up to it since his father just passed away before deployment and other things going on. I did what I could with emailing him cheerful things throughout the day though. I'm going to send him a little project though when I finally get all his stuff together. Just a little piece of paper with my handprint, and the puppies paw prints. Lol. I know he'll enjoy it. It's always the little things. Even if it comes way late. <3 :p

This weekened was wonderful. I actually enjoyed it for once!! Friday I just relaxed for most of the day, watching movies, cleaned a little. Saturday I met up with the owner of Koa's [my puppy] dad and her and I went riding out on the trails by her house... FOR 6 HOURS!!! I am SORE! lol!!! Got burnt because we were drinking before [during, and after, oooh I do my husband proud, lol!!] and I COMPLETELY forgot to put sunscreen on. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I'm a redhead, that means fair skinned. Fun times... luckily we came back, grabbed the other horses and I remembered it then.. joy. lol
Then yesterday my friend came down and helped me fix my car, that was nice!! So now I have my car back. Yay!! So happy not to drive Lee's beat up car [but at least it owkrs!]. Just driving a stick is so much work. SOO much more fun to drive though!!! :]

How was everyone elses weekend??

Wyette, I totally understand. I'm the same way, even with what I know about the Navy being enlisted myself. LOL! My hubby is good about keeping me informed as much as possible. :]

Janet, no worries. Everyone's good. My friend's hubby is on the Pelilu as a Corpsman with the Marines. I'm sure you'll hear from you boy soon enough. :] <3 Welcome

I kept trying to reply earlier, but it wasn't working for me for some reason! I don't know why. Even on my iPod so I know it wasn't just my works internet being goofy. Hmmm.

Anyway, hope everyone is well!

Pamela, I am such a worry wart since this whole Navy thing is new to me that my fiance really tries hard to give me as much info as he is allowed to comfort me... he emailed this to me when it was hot off the press. I will continue to share it will all of you. Have a wonderful Monday!

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! My fiance (Chris) is a stickler for OPSEC. He won't even tell me what day and time it is where he's at in "normal english." It's a great thing that we were able to create our own language before he left... it makes such a big difference because I can be in "the know" without breaking any rules. I'm elated to discover that this group seems to be such a close knit one. I hope to get to know you all better! : )

All the newbies up on OPSEC? I know the group does really well, just checking. You know me, super-cautious!
