OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Events

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

I don't know about same sex, but they cannot be a spouse or SO, bf or gf. Parent or sibling is okay, I've not heard of gender restrictions on family members.

Put the photos in a discussion forum. Click on "start discussion" in the Discussion Forum section (just above this box) and it should be pretty straightforward from there. If you still have trouble, let me know

Nice Anti!!! <3

Lol, FLNurse, she's been extended MANY times. I hope they don't do it again. Capt said it's been made official.. ALTHOUGH she was supposed to be "decomissioned" in April and is now being extended thru July for different excercises. . . so I guess it wouldn't surprise me too much.

LOL, I'm going to get my ET to work on it!!!

I had heard she was to be "decomissioned" after this deployment. But now I am not so sure after reading some of the reports from the Somalia pirate mission. She may be held together with duct tape and prayer but she can still get the job done!!

I THINK they're "mothballing" her. Lol I know they're at least taking some of the stuff off the ship. How do you get a piece of her though?? Lol Not that Lee likes to remember all that stuff but I keep reminding him that it'll be some good stories to the kids one day.

LOL Julie you're too funny!!

I've always wanted to go to Petra!

Hey, anyone know if they're mothballing the old gal or dismantling her? Hubby wants a piece of her for memory's sake.
