I have been very lucky since my son joined. I have not went over 6 months at any given time without seeing him. His last trip home he came home with a buddy. I had to drive to Dallas to get him the day before mother's day. And then I had to buy him a plane ticket back because he failed to purchase his. That was a very expensive ticket. But because I love him I sucked it up and got him on a plane so he would not be in deep crap w uncle Sam. Lol. My husband just found out about it ( marine dad) and he just shook his head and asked why did I have to buy it? I replied "you know him just as well as I do" lol. The things we do for our children. And if it means me not going so I can buy him a ticket home. I will. Can they really go thru that much money while deployed. If so I mint just leave him in San diago. Lol. Yeah right.

Well my delemia has been solved. My husband told me that I was going to the homecoming no matter when it was. No matter how much it cost. What a great man he is. He said I'm not missing the first homecoming.
