cool-marianne-thanks for sharing.
i heard the cruise was moved from july to june. so, now, i have only 2 months to get all preparations made. i NEED any and all help from beginning to end...haha like flight arrangements, what to take, what not to take, exchange of money...etc...whatever anyone can offer would be GREATLY appreciated! i can't make flight arrangements until i know exact dates...it's killing me! i also heard where we'll meet the ship, well, the name of the place, as if i know where i'm going. ha ha really hoping they put official info out very soon!
haven't heard too much from hunter...a little on FB. :(
hope you all are doing good. we're doing ok, here. looking forward to the cruise, mostly to see hunter! :)
Heard the dates for the Tiger Cruise yet....not that I am going. Just wondered if those who were planning on it got the the information.
What a wonderful surprise! Congratulations!
The email thing is due to them changing to the BHR email address. Their "2" will become "6".
Heard there was an earthquake in Indonesia on the radio. Haven't looked into it after that, but they are hoping that a tsunami does not follow. I hope that doesn't happen!
KimTN, that is just horrible. I hope he doesn't have problems being reimbursed.
Mary, I think it is ok to post. It happens a lot on deployed ships for many different reasons. My experience has been that they can receive messages but cannot send them. I don't think they are allowed to use their personal email or fb. If it is the same thing, it is nicknamed "River City".
I'm surprised they did that, Kim. Hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle to get reimbursed. Almost sounds like the lady didn't know what she was doing (?).
All - Jess says no email for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow (their "today"). Hope this is ok, to say here, but wanted you all to know. They should still be able to get to personal email and fb and stuff I would think.
Hi all! Hope all had a nice Easter. We were surprised by a skype from Josh. It was 5:00 a.m. in Japan/4:00 p.m. EST and the family was all together at my sister's house. Unfortunately, he JUST missed our uncle. He had been there for 4 hours and was exhausted so we took him back to his place. It was so wonderful and made my day complete!
LOL Mary!!! I have always enjoyed the karma as my sons got older :-)
KimTN, you must be estatic at this point!! I hope you still drop in on us here! I'm still learning from the more experienced moms!
Marianne, happy to hear Katie was able to get a connection. I plan on ordering the other t-shirts in June. Can't wait!
Sharon, I bet you are having a WONDERFUL time!!!
Take care all!
(Shhh!) Lovin how things work out sometimes...Our (poor, poor) Jesse is cleaning the essex berthing spotless. "there's about 15 years worth of YUK", mom! It's not fair!" blah blah blah
I tried not to laugh. HA! I had to clean his room when he left for the Navy so we could remodel it. Lovin' the little payback...karma, son. karma (LOL)
Hope you are all doing well
(and Yay Kim from TN, very excited for you all!)
Kim from TN - yesterday when we were visiting my mother, one of my sister's whose son is a Captain in the Army was wondering why Katie wasn't getting 30 days when she comes back from Japan - told her that she was reporting straight to Norfolk and filing a chit so she can (hopefully) get off for 2 weddings she will be a bridesmaid in the following month. It will be so nice for Hans to be home to celebrate with you and to spend the time together before VA.
Katie ended up getting through (connection not great, but...) and we talked until we left for Easter services.
