In the email there are two links.  The first is to view the post and the second is to stop following.  I hit the second one all the time.  It still brings up the website so I don't notice.

I must have hit the "follow me" by mistake!

I forgot to mention this...last week in the midst of being in the hospital with my uncle, I saw a FB post on Josh's wall that said..."happy" and you know how FB automatically posts the location of where you are....well this said "near Philadelphia, PA."  Well...my heart was beating so hard with excitement as for some CRAZY reason I was thinking he had just landed in Philly and was on his way home and he was going to surprise me.  He didn't know at the time that my uncle had been hospitalized.  Well all day, I had myself convinced and there were no further posts from him throughout the day.  Even as I was driving home that night from the hospital I thought Josh was going to be home and was going to pop out!  OH DEAR...what an active imagination I have and what wishful thinking can do!!!

So late that night I saw Josh on FB and chatted.  Told him what I was thinking and he was "lol...I wish!"  He had no idea why FB did that.

     Crazy huh?

And I never use to get emails when someone posted a comment and now I do.

Ann, yesterday I sent my Easter care package to the new BHR address.  We'll see...

Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for the birthday greetings.

Ann - I would go ahead and send the package.  I'm not worried about packages/letters finding Katie.

Happy Birthday Marianne.

The Mexico earthquake was felt in San Diego today.  I think they are following him.

I have an Easter care package to send to Chuck. Think he'll get it by Easter if I mail it tomorrow to the new BR address? Or does anyone advise I just wait until the hull swap is complete? I hate not knowing exactly when that will be, but this IS the Navy. It's still in the low 80's here, with pollen counts in the 8000's. Gag!

Marianne!  Wishing you a Happy Birthday!!

Comment by MarianneKT's Mom on March 20, 2012 at 1:01pm

Katie called this AM from the ship to wish me a Happy Birthday! We talked for about a minute and then lost connection - then she called back and we talked for about 45 minutes!!!  Yesterday Dave grilled steak and I had dinner with Joe/Thomas who are at home.  Alicia (our oldest) called last night for 2 hours.

One time Katie was ordering from Bath and Bodyworks and they wouldn't send her the hand sanitizer 2 oz bottles that she ordered, so they sent them here.  I stuck them in a 'goodie' box.

Sunny, light breeze and 80s - beautiful!

My uncle is not in pain, thank God.  The more I thought about asking the PO, I thought the same thing Sharon, so I didn't ask.  I figured they aren't aerosol and then I checked this link https://www.usps.com/ship/can-you-ship-it.htm.    I sent them off today along with Easter candy!  I'll have to check out Amazon for those and other items - I never even thought of that...thanks.

Yes, LOL, if Josh had a girlfriend he would have definitely used them for her!!!

And yet another beautiful sunny warm...well actuall hot....80 degrees...here in upstate NY.

Thank you for the prayers.  The goal was to get him well enough to go back to his apartment at the assisted living.  And that is where he is headed today!  Along with hospice services.

Josh isn't able to find the clean and renew cartridges for his shaver and asked me to send.  I found them, but didn't buy them because on the box it says "Danger: flammable/inflammable.  Use in ventillated area."  I'm not sure if this is one of the items that can't be sent.  Any moms out there send their sons similar item?  I guess to be sure I should stop at PO and see what they recommend.

Another question.  Has anyone ever seen ship to shore calling cards in stores?  As mentioned previsously, I had bought them at the NEX on line store but took forever to get there.  Just wondering if there was  a simpler way.

Beautiful here today!  It is suppose to reach 75!

Take care!

Cathy
